Merriwether House

Haire’s foundation team took The Merriwether House on River road for foundation improvements. The original foundation had consisted of old stones and had collapsed in multiple locations. To save the Historic Home, Haire was hired to give the building a new foundation. To accomplish this, Haire first had to lift the structure off the ground and remove the old foundation. As the home was stabilized Haire’s team poured a new footing around the perimeter, and center posts. All code regulations were met throughout the process and the home remained completely level throughout. New foundation walls and center supports were then laid below the home. The home was then dropped back down, and leveled out. Look for a new African American Heritage museum to move inside. Thank you Clore Construction for the project.
