Haire Construction was contracted out by the Kentucky Horse Park to remove and replace one of the failing bridges inside the Horse Park. Haire worked with Brown and Kubican Structural Engineers to create a safe, new bridge that will stand the test of time. The old bridge had to first be removed which was done by crane then the new bridge framing was placed in the same location. Once the framing was in place steel decking and concrete were installed along with a new guardrail system. The bridge received a full coat of galvanizing to protect it from the elements and the mist from the creek below. Working with the Kentucky Horse Park was a great opportunity for Haire and being able to build a structure that will be used everyday is our ideal goal.
