Haire Construction was contracted out to update Northern Kentucky University’s Science Building Plaza. The Plaza originally had old, decaying brick pavers set in sand that were creating trip hazards for the faculty, staff, and students. Haire came in and removed all the existing brick pavers and replaced them with new concrete and brick pavers. The new brick pavers were arranged in a compass rose orientation with stainless steel N, S, E, W letters pointing in their respective directions. This project demonstrated Haire’s ability to take a dilapidated area and transform it into something safe, efficient, and eye pleasing.
