Our portion of this project consisted of extending the raised platform where tourists walk to load/unload from the train. We removed part of the railing, cut the rounded edge of the concrete at the existing platform, excavated/leveled the ground, formed a footer, installed rebar per drawings, poured concrete for footer as well as the walls, filled inside with gravel, formed and poured a top slab, made saw cuts to the top slab and installed new railing. The customers can now load and unload at any train cart as well as have access for the handicap ramp on the caboose.
